You boot up your favorite game. Music sounds loudly as you begin your journey, you run into battle guns-a-blazing, sword swinging, or ready to approach your hardest puzzle yet, maybe sitting down to a good ol' plat former game. It doesn't matter, really. The music, edging you on, encouraging you to pursue that victory, solve that puzzle, beat that boss! It seems to pour out of your speakers, giving you the audible satisfaction of a good experience. As you pick your jaw up off the floor, you realize this game would be nothing on mute! This is what I'm aspiring to do. Spending the last few years catering mostly to the music industry as a designer, I'm finally taking the initiative to do something I have more of a passion for and that is to actually make the music. It's a lot to live up to considering I am a third generation musician who aspires to make a career out of it, but growing up in a musically inclined family actually allowed me to hear all types of genres of music, to which I now apply to my craft. From hip-hop to rock to blue grass, techno and everything in between, despite being a huge fan of orchestral stuff, I can do it all. Recently upgrading my entire system with new instrumental synths and devices, I'm taking the industry head on with a huge will to persevere fueling me. See for me, it's not only about making it, impressing my family and defying the nay say-ers, but because I come from Hawaii, it would be amazing to be the first breakout musician to ever truly hail from the Hawaiian islands that's not had to be associated with an Ukulele... or American Idol. On my newly revamped website, you can download a bunch of clips of my stuff from back when I was first playing around with synths/drum machines to more recent endeavors which showcase my growth as a learning artist, using themes and other assorted variables that often justify the music's emotion and execution. You can also check out my MySpace page for more of my music, often updated with new stuff (like my new song Muse). I hope you'll enjoy my work and help me spread the word! I'll also be releasing my first CD-format album later this year, so if you like my stuff, with a little patience, you'll be able to enjoy it anywhere you please! With that said, I thank you for your time. Maybe one day you'll be playing a hit game I composed the music to and you can tell yourself, "I knew that guy back when he was trying to convince us he was any good".
I've been keeping up on your music somewhat for a couple years now and I know you've got the talent and patience to make it. You know as well as I do that I tried to do the same things you did, but I never had the patience to make fully fleshed-out songs. I know you can do it, and I'll be proud to say I knew you.
Even though, I have no real knowledge of Classical music, I think if anyone could make it, that person could just aswell be you because what you've been making is amazing music.
