The Linkin Park Underground is having a new contest concerning the Live In Texas player in which people pass around their referral links. We all know the deal with those: The person with the most clicks wins. However, Linkin Park wants you to PROMOTE their new live album instead of just being greedy and spamming the referral links all over the net. They want you to do it in a peaceful and calm manner, and they want you to do it without pissing people off. Now, we haven't had any problems yet, but before we do, I'd just like to state this:

ANYONE WHO SPAMS THEIR LPU CONTEST REFERRAL LINKS ON THESE FORUMS WILL BE WARNED AND THE LINK WILL BE REMOVED.

This is a Linkin Park forum, most of us already know about the player. It doesn't make much sense to spam a Linkin Park player on a Linkin Park web site. Make yourself useful and REALLY help promote the band by going to other forums and explaining to people what Live In Texas is, and give them the link peacefully and don't force them to go there. Do not mask the link, either. Be straightforward with them. You'll get more respect that way. If you're bashed for liking Linkin Park, so be it--that's part of the game.

There is absolutely no reason to be greedy about all this. Linkin Park respects their fans, that's why they have contests like these. They do not want you to go out and get in trouble for promoting their CDs. If you're asked to stop spamming--stop spamming. If you're asked to keep the link to your signature--keep it to your signature. If the only reason you've entered this LPU contest is to win, then you're not a true fan. A true fan would help promote the band WHILE trying to win. The purpose is to promote Live In Texas and give a prize to the person who promoted the most--the person who received the most clicks.

So, I'll restate: DO NOT spam your referral links on these forums or you will be warned. Keep the links to your signatures if you must have the links on these forums. There's no reason to create threads about it, as it only leads to bad blood between members.

    Thanks for reading

Sorry Will I just wanted to add something:

You can have the Live In Texas player links in your signiture. But that is the only place allowed and will not get you in trouble.
