Your point about social media sharing isn't really clear to me Otherwise, fair enough - in that respect, music videos might not be worth the effort, but I also like to think that Linkin Park make videos for more than just "business". They're opportunities to elaborate and expand upon their music using a visual medium, and one of the band members is a prolific music video director. Interesting videos still make waves today and fans still get excited over them. The same argument can be applied to explain why LP still create and release full-length albums physically when, in this day and age, asking people to invest in a digital single or EP is easier. Or you could ask why the band still lean on their rock influences the way that they do when electro-pop, trap and post-R&B (or whatever you might call it) might present more lucrative avenues
It's considered a promo single only, despite a cover art and lyric video. Kinda like how "Lies Greed Misery" was released.
