Brooklyn Projects has announced a forthcoming new merch collection in collaboration with Linkin Park, which they will be debuting later this week. The Los Angeles-based streetwear brand will first offer the From Zero-inspired collection exclusively at their Melrose Ave location, in a pop-up event that will begin on Thursday, September 11, and end on Sunday, September 14. The event will be open from 11 AM to 7 PM on each of those days. Following this in-store run, Brooklyn Projects will be making the pieces available for purchase in their online store. Fans who follow Linkin Park's apparel drops will know that Brooklyn Projects previously worked with the band on two projects. Their first collaboration produced the Brooklyn Project v Linkin Park capsule collection for the "XVLP" merch run in 2015, celebrating Hybrid Theory's 15th anniversary and Linkin Park's beginnings in LA. Then, in late 2023, they followed that up with a second collection to celebrate Meteora's 20th anniversary, pieces from which are still available on Brooklyn Projects' online store at time of writing. No previews are available for any of the pieces from this newest collaboration as of yet, but the announcement post on Instagram says the collection will include T-shirts, hoodies, caps and "a special super limited edition of skate decks that are your ordinary collab deck", which should be quite intriguing for collectors. Linkin Park has a sold-out headline arena show coming up very soon for Los Angeles, at Intuit Dome on September 13, and this Brooklyn Projects collaboration isn't the only thing they're doing to celebrate the home city tour stop. As suggested in the post, it actually makes up part of the band's recently-announced "LPLA" city takeover, in the vein of what they organised for Hamburg last year. As part of this takeover, fans can visit various locations in the city in a scavenger hunt to collect special stickers, allowing them to enter the LPLA sweepstakes. Among the prizes on offer: a backstage experience at the Los Angeles show. The first 400 people to submit the 5 required LPLA stickers will also get an exclusive pin as a reward. Further details about the LPLA event are available at this dedicated website. In addition to the Brooklyn Projects collaboration, Linkin Park has also connected with the apparel outlet Suay for a a collection that will be sold during a pop-up at the Los Angeles store from September 11 through to September 14, also becoming available online on September 12. The store will additionally be selling every poster from the From Zero world tour. Linkin Park's Emily Armstrong has previously worn Suay apparel on-stage, but this direct team-up with Suay allows the band to take things a step further: this new collection consists of pieces made from recycling existing Linkin Park merch stock, in line with Suay's sustainability-focused approaches as well as the band's history of making environmentally-conscious choices. Band member Joe Hahn is quoted on the LPLA website: As the quote mentions, this Suay partnership will the debut showing for a brand-new initiative from the band called Linkin Park Phantom Label, or LPPL, which has its own dedicated page on linkinpark.com. LPPL was previously hinted at by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda on Instagram, and will serve as an avenue for "more elevated" merch and apparel collaborations: There are also a few food and beverage partnerships involved, which should surprise no-one. Firstly, a collaboration with LAMILL Coffee, the LA-based boutique coffee roaster, which has "Linkin Tonic" and "LP Blend" varieties on sale at their Silver Lake Blvd. location: McConnell's, an ice-cream business in the city, has partnered with Linkin Park to offer the "Two Faced Sundae", a dual-flavoured "rockstar mashup of flavors". And, finally, Dan's Super Subs will have three Linkin Park-themed offerings for customers to pick from between September 11 and September 13: Dan's Super Subs has been mentioned by Mike Shinoda as one of his favourite food spots the San Fernando Valley in an interview with Visit California earlier this year, and he even highlighted the shop's Ham and Cheese sandwich when he appeared on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals back in January. A lot going on as Linkin Park gears up to rock their home city on September 13, sure to be an unforgettable event ... Source: Brooklyn Projects on Instagram
