I had this idea a while a go, way before my Calender idea,

What if there was a note book, that someone sent to one person on the LPA and they signed it, or wrote in it, or drew a picture and what not. Then that person sends it to another person in the LPA, and so on. If you want you could get it autographed by a band or what not, or many bands, if it's gonna be sent to a lot of locations. After the note book is full you can give it away at a contest or something. And have a notebook that has traveled the world with a lot of cool things in it.

Of course if you were to do that you'd have to have some rules, like how long each person would get to keep the note book, how many pages they can take up, and a person must have a scanner so people can see what each member wrote.

    Thoughts?

It would be interesting to do, but the logistics involved as well as if anybody would steal the notebook remains to be seen.

What could potentially work is if people sent in scanned images of notes/pictures they made (or mailed them to an address) and then at the end of a certain deadline, everything would be combined together in a scrapbook and given to the band at one of the shows...with the cover of the scrapbook saying "From The Members of LPAssociation.com" now that would be dope.

I am a bit confused now, would this be something that one of us would end up with when it was full, or something we could potentially give to Linkin Park?

Either way its still a cool idea. =)

It's worked on other boards, like Echoing the Sound, with the CD mix exchange. I proposed that idea a few years ago, but I didn't have the patience to actually go through with it. It's alot of work for whoever decides to operate the whole thing.

It's a great idea, though. I'd be up for it.

I have a notebook, it's just I don't know how much it would be to ship it. I think I can only afford to ship it across the U.S.

Anyway if we did do this, there really should be rules as to keep things orderly.

    Some example rules

    1. Must sign up to participate
    2. Must have at least 1,000 post, (it's kind of an active member thing)
    3. Can only keep the book for a total of 2 weeks
    4. Each member can only use up 2 pages, (subject to change as determined in how many people actually sign up)
    5. Once done, get information from next person on the list as to where to send it.

It's probably best to have a US edition then a foreign edition.

Maybe we could have it go around the US/Canada first and then when everyone who wanted it gets it, send it over to Europe. That way only one person would have to pay to ship it to Europe, rather than it going back and forth for the US to Europe and taking up a bunch of time as well.

I would be interested in this. It's a really cool idea!

On a forum I use to go to a long while ago, there was a thread called the Tie thread where members sent one tie for other members to sign, it went across the globe. Sadly I never got to sign it because the forum shut down before it got to me and such it got lost i think.

Being as I think this forum is pretty active I didn't think it would be a probme. haha

I was thinking that we'd have two notebooks. One for the US, and one for over seas.
