Anyone seen this before? This is one of the first CDs I bought back in 2001/2002... Back then I was only into LP among these bands and I got this CD just because there was "It's Going Down" on it. Turns out that there were some other cool bands there. The bigger question is: Why are Sum 41 and Nickelback there? Every new metal band in 2000 were labeled Nu Metal
That compilation should have been called "Now 2001 Rock Edition." There are quite a few bands on there that I would not consider "Nu-Metal."
^ It's a bootleg that someone made on their computer, I guess...they were very popular (and totally legal) back in the day
I remember those days and I own a few of those compilations. MTV even made them... "Return Of The Rock." I own both volumes.
Oh my God, although they were "the shit" back then, I read that tracklist now and it's almost embarrassing. Except for Toxicity and LP awesome. I do like that Shinobi vs Dragon Ninja song but it's still that typical teen "metal" song , as well as Crawling in the Dark
I remember those... One Step Closer was on one of them I believe The person who made this probably just put Virgin logo to look more legit...
You gotta remember, kids, CD burners weren't readily available in everyone's houses. These things did happen.
There was this compilation called "Testosterona" here, that had a bunch of tracks like this one. What'd ya guys think?
