I was watching a special on E! (I think), and they were talking about Peter Jackson--the director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Next year, Jackson wants to do a re-make of King Kong, and it will stay true to the original movie. Most of the LotR cast wants to help him with the movie. Elijah Wood said he wants a scene were it shows King Kong trudging through the island, and off in the distance, you can see Hobbits frying up eggs. After King Kong, Jackson wants to do The Hobbit... that is, if Newline Cinema can secure the rights. Let's hope (LET'S HOPE AND PRAY) that Newline gets the rights to The Hobbit.
LOL @ what Elijah said! Yeah, I really hope that he gets to do 'The Hobbit' that would be so cool...and I can't wait for King Kong. Peter Jackson is an amazing director so I trust him not to ruin any classic movies.
I did hear that he wants to do The Hobbit but I didn't hear anything about him re-making King Kong. Hmm...lets hope that it happens though!
If he redid the Hobbit that would be awesome. I wonder who would play Bilbo...and what the dragon would look like.
No offense to Peter Jackson, but if he wants to show versatilty, he's going to need to move away from Lotr quickly, otherwise he'll end up like George Lucas.
If you knew anything about it, The Hobbit is the only other movie he can do for Lord of the Rings. He said he doesn't want to start making up movies because that just ruins Lord of the Rings.
