Physician Heal Thyself, one of the first songs to come from Zao's tenth album, The Fear Is What Keeps Us Here, is up for download on their PureVolume website. More songs will be released every week as June 13th gets closer.

This week sees the release of It's Hard Not To Shake (With A Gun In Your Mouth) on MySpace, with American Sheets on the Deathbed to follow May 29th, then My Love, My Love (We've Come Back From the Dead) on June 5th.

    And here are the lyrics:

    Physician Heal Thyself

    Physician heal thyself
Can you cut yourself precise and deep
As to reach in and remove whats dying inside of you

    A colossus of irony

    Physician heal thyself
    With great intelligence and experience
Can you prescribe a way not to die alone

We are not what we are

    The structure deconstructing
    Arrogance and blasphemy
    There are no controls
    Like the unfornuate patient
The physician dies sick and alone

It's Hard Not To Shake (With A Gun In Your Mouth)

I am not a prophet or a teacher
I am a failure of God
Standing in a circle of my brothers
    Their fangs out

Every thing I had I gave to you
Every time I tried I would lose
Its hard not to shake with a gun in your mouth

Every time I try I hear my mothers voice
    And see my mothers eyes
    But when hers close
    Im scared so will mine
    You are no brothers

Filing out of the church of Cain
Like a thousand foot pious snake
Hiding its sins deep in its stomach
Digesting them one at a time

And your voice is a sounding trumpet
Announcing the mountains that youve moved
But love is the farthest thing from you
