This is that song I was talking about in one of my other threads a week or so ago before my internet died on me. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out and I hope that you like it. Any comments on how I could improve it are welcomed, cheers. "Solitude In Solitaire" All by myself, I learnt the importance of an ace put in the mix, All by myself, I've learnt that the highest is the king, And with his servants filling slots between the rest and royalty, But he can take his queen of hearts before he'll ever take me. Silence in the House Of Commons, We're all common here, (We're all common here) With our suits tailored, and our social cliques, We are ready to serve your every word. All together now, we'll steal all the diamonds; dig them up with our spades, All together now, even with their clubs they'll never find us, if we follow our hearts. And with his servants playing slots or looking for that ace of clubs, We'll beat their full house with our straight flush, And with their dealer stacking cards, we'll be counting them all, To make sure, we get away with this. Silence in the House Of Commons, We're all common here, (We're all common here) With our suits tailored, and our social cliques, We are ready to serve your every word. I see your snake eyes and your forked tongue, Whoever said that gambling is fun? I should have never listened, the dealer always wins, I close my eyes, all on black; I'll take it on the chin. All alone again, I hold my cards close to my chest, All alone again, they ante up to force their win, All together now, we call their bluff to shake them all off, One off us will win, I don't care it just can't be them. Silence in the House Of Commons, We're all common here, (We're all common here) With our suits tailored, and our socials cliques, We are ready to serve your every word. I'd prefer to keep my solitude in solitaire, Rather than blow it all on trusting you, I'll keep my spare cash tucked safely away, Rather than doubling it by hustling you.
That's brilliant, Dave. Very creative with the whole theme and really originial, maybe even the most coherent lyrics I've ever read by you.
