Not sure if anyone here is really into them but Jon Formeman is genius in my opinion. Not only has he fronted Switchfoot and brought out 3 stellar albums but he also has 4 solo EPs and a side project band (Fiction Family). Well according to him and the band, they will be releasing not 1 new album, but 4. The first being this september and the second being next year with 2 more to follow sometime there after. This kind of worries me considering every band that writes an album typically comes up with 50+ tracks but they don't actually release them all... and usually because they are not that great. Hopefully Switchfoot didn't do that here. But considering they haven't had an album out since 06 I think it's possible that he might have had time to come up with at least 2 albums worth of decent material. Well the new album will be called Hello Hurricane - Sept 2009 The second will be Vice Verses - - TBD 2010 Can't wait to see what he comes up with this time. Very cool! I saw Switchfoot live a few years ago, at the Norther Lights in Albany. They were amazing! But yeah, I'm excited, will be nice to hear some new material from them.
I haven't listened to Switchfoot for a while. But I liked quite a few songs off "The Beautiful Letdown". Like, "On Fire" is amazing ...
