I can tell you right now that we have always been strictly anti-teenie since the moment the LPA started up back in 2002. We have never allowed even the slightest hint of "omg chester is hot" and this is something we are all well known and famous for doing.

As far as I am aware we are the only Linkin Park community that enforces this rule so tightly. Teenie bopper like posts appear on the LPU, LPMB and other fan message boards and quite frankly, it's not something we'd like to see here. The Linkin Park related sections of this forum are a place for discussion concerning the band's music, talent and songwriting abilities...not how hot they are or which one you'd like to be in bed with.

That is not allowed here, and will never be allowed; so I apologize if you guys hate us for this, but our policy has always been to ban teenies on sight. We do this to prevent the LPA from turning into another LPMB or LPUMB.

Go on those boards, see how terrible they've become and I'm sure you will thank us afterwards.

That's not really what this particular person said at all though.
This isn't a "allow teenie boppers" thread. It's a "The rule was unfairly applied on this person" thread.

    "Yes I do love Rob".

No one is shedding tears, the forums integrity isn't being compromised. She didn't look to me as if she came to talk about Rob being hot, and her dream bedfellow.

If a trend develops, have a word via PM. The girl got told to postwhore by two people. Picking up sarcasm in a foreign language isn't too easy.

But whatever, 'tis not my forum. Judge them as you will.

Okay, there's two types of teenie behaviours:

    1. Subject is obsessed with the band. NOT in the sense of "omg, I love their music", but actually in love with the band members themselves, to the extent of calling them hot. No, they're not rare.

    2. Subject likes the band's music, saying "I love Rob!", while really meaning they love Rob's music. Extremely rare specimen.

#1 should be banned on the spot. #2 should be treated with caution, I'd say 2-point warning, which expires after a period of time, if behaviour doesn't repeat.

Heh, yeah, that was me. >_< Usually people take it as a joke, not as an open invitation to be annoying. I apologive. *hangs head in shame*

I thought it was over the top, but as you guys say that there were more of her posts which you didn't approve, I guess those of us who haven't seen those aren't really in a position to judge...

You guys aren't exactly privy to the moderation queue, so basing this complaint solely on that one post is, while unintentional, ignorant of the entire story.

I don't know if you remember us from 3-4 years ago, but things were a lot stricter around here then. Your point has been made and we'll continue to be diligent in discussing situations like this among the staff. Thanks.

For those of you who weren't around, it was as strict as not being able to swear at all. And now we have innuendos in every second post. *cough* :p

I'm still voting for no change, because even if we were to allow the mild teenies, it could possibly mean more work for the staff, better off without them.

Tell us what you really think, Paul.

I'll be most dissapointed if this doesn't end in a 10 page slagging match with multiple bannings. *

Well in Todd, asking him to elaborate. This thread has potential.

    Oh for christs sake.

Look, lets not turn this into a forum war or something. I braught up an issue, we discussed it, end of. Someone oughta lock this before it can kick off.
