<div align=center>I saw her standing over there from the corner of my eye, As if an angel lost her wings and fell out from the sky, Hadn't seen her face before but felt I knew her all my life, Something about her hypnotized cause it was love at the first sight, Her shirt reflected shades of blue that were like the seven seas, Her hair was blowing gracefully like the wind beneath the trees, Warnings that were preached to me I just could not accept, 'Cause somewhere deep inside my mind I was convinced that I was blessed, Without a thought I went and forced myself to make a move, Unaware of the risks and the future fights that would ensue, And now that my ignorance has blown up in my face, I close my eyes and wish myself to be in a better place, My wishes are left unanswered and everything is still the same, Everytime we talk becomes a round of "pass the blame", I never considered that fateful Friday would be the day, That I watched my angel from above grow her wings and fly away.</div>
Derek, that was unbelievably incredible! I like the flow throughout the poem. I like that line. Amazing job, Derek.
Thanks for finding this amazing . I was a little unsure at first because this is the first poem I have written in a long time, I usually write songs but in the end I felt this would best be representated as a poem.
