Can't find the bulletin I got it from, because Myspace is a bitch. But, if you're on Myspace, and have Mindless Self Indulgence as your friend, you've probably seen the bulletin they have about Jhonen Vasquez (known for his comics, Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and Squee, and for his shortlived Nickelodeon cartoon Invader Zim) directing the video for their single off of their cd You'll Rebel To Anything, "Shut Me Up". The video is on Myspace, and I'd post a link, but it's a javascript window, thus meaning...no URL. When you watch the video, and are familiar with the art of Jhonen, you'll be able to tell it's his work. The song is rather catchy. I could see it as an iPod commercial song. Thought I'd let you all know
I can't see Apple choosing a crude band like Mindless Self Indulgence to have a song appear as an iPod commerical song. Might as well choose Anal Cunt.
Well, the song isn't entirely crude. The song's pretty catchy, and it's definatley something that when you hear it, you get the image of those annoying black and bright colored commercials. "I like my coffee black, just like my metal." Great stuff.
I love MSI, The video was pretty good. "Shut Me Up" is one of my favorite tracks of theirs but it's not their best.
