Orbiting rock in the space of time
Hear the witness of the chimes of the merry-go-round
Glooming clouds over the gulfs sunken towns
    Water raising creating drowning tombstones
High it goes above the high moons night monsoons
    Memories die creating screeching cries

    And then we SAY
    What we did TODAY
It meant nothing in this broken DAY
Lives destroyed without ever saying goodbye
We tried so hard everyday to get bye
    And then we SAY

Winds stirring looking for somewhere else to play
In your backyard where you once gazed and played
It took it all for a day of fun
Done with what your life once preserved away
Taking all you had in one grazing way

    And then we SAY
    What we did TODAY
It meant nothing in this broken DAY
Lives destroyed without ever saying goodbye
We tried so hard everyday to get bye
    And then we SAY

    One nation under a god
A lie shot down by a country without a corrupted thought
Disasters happening so fast, you wonder why
Try to understand the glowing red bloodshed
Mass destruction is creeping up ahead
    Many dead of mourning lead
Labeling a great nation without a ounce of patience

And then we SAY (and then we say)
What we did today (what we did today)
And then we SAY (and then we say)
What we did today (what we did today)
It meant nothing in this broken DAY
Lives destroyed without ever saying goodbye
We tried so hard everyday to get bye
