Recently I asked some of my friends that don't really like LP to name their favourite LP's songs. All of them were like"1-In The end,2-Numb and 3-Burn It Down" and I was like"wtf?????" I like Burn It Down but not as much as the other LP songs.
Its their opinion. They can like whatever they want to like. Just because you dont like Burn It Down as much as other songs doesnt mean they can't.
It's catchy, considerably more "high energy" than their last handful of singles, and hints back at Meteora Theory Park without having do rehash anything. Not my favorite, no, but I can totally see why some more casual fans would love it.
Because it's a successful single. Seriously, I hate In The End, but it makes sense why it's most people's favorites... it's their most popular.
I don't see why not. In The End for example is definitely not in my Top 10, and everytime when I hear/read casual people saying it's their best song or something like that I can't help but to roll my eyes. It's just a matter of taste. And as a more hardcore fan of LP, I do like BURN IT DOWN, a lot.
Yeah, they don't know the other songs of them. They all know BIT just because of the European championship. I don't think that Burn It Down is the worst song but I think that isn't the best song of them.
Burn It Down, burned out really fast (pun intended). The chorus started as big and explosive (similar to New Divide), then fell down as the chorus is about to end, you're left with thinking "that's it?". Mike's rap was also out of nowhere and doesn't really complement the song unlike most LP songs. I dare say this is their worst lead single had "Somewhere I Belong" not existed. I don't want to generalize, but maybe they like it because it's their most recent song. I really hope "Lost In the Echo" blows it out of the water so we can pretend Burn It Down never happened.
I don't like how the last chorus doesn't get bigger, it stays the same throughout the song. The rap is pointless and not very good. Would have worked better with a sung bridge instead. It's a good single but the lyrics are a bit poor and it's kind of a boring song. Standard rock radio music.
It's so big because 1. It's radio-friendly 2. It's singable 3. It's danceable 4. It's an awesome song. Lacks some heart, though.
I actually thought about BID the other day, and I realized it was probably my least favourite LP song.... And it's still awesome!
I never understood the hype around BID. When I got the full album, I least looked forward to listening to it (Primarily because I'd heard it so often beforehand). But a month on, I find the synths really captivating, the harmonies are well done and it's upbeat. But it got big cause it's the radio friendly rock sound people have been craving from Linkin Park for the past few years. The splash it made won't matter much when LOST IN THE ECHO comes out and rapes people's earholes.
Lost in the Echo will never be as successful as Burn It Down. Seriously. You can ask anyone who isnt LP fan and they'll tell you, Burn It Down is much better.
That's true.I tried to make some of my friends like it but they don't.They like very much Burn it Down
